The Törggelen (harvest) period in the Eisack valley is a century-old tradition. Your holiday can turn into a very special event when you savour our traditional specialities in South Tyrol. These include: meat platters, tasty Schüttelbrot, a crusty type of bread, and Schlutzkrapfen dumplings, enjoyed with a glass of new wine of the current vintage .Numerous autumn events are scheduled in Brixen and the villages of the Eisack valley. A new Apple Queen is crowned every year at the apple festival in Natz/Schabs. You can shop for delicacies at the traditional bread and strudel market in Brixen and during the chestnut weeks, you can enjoy new dishes with this autumn fruit.
